Steve takes a (flint) knap

In this video, Steve Kitchen demonstrates flint knapping. When Steve is not flint knapping, he can be found playing his guitar and singing in the praise team at Parkview Church of Christ.

The music was even better live

The Mamadou Diabate Ensemble played in Millersburg, Ohio, in 2008, and the group was very good. This is one of the most popular videos on my YouTube page. I have more raw footage from the ensemble that I have not processed, but it seems like I never have time to edit more footage.

Back from Red Cross Heroes Luncheon

Shot some video at the Heroes Luncheon organized by the Wayne County Chapter of the American Red Cross. Video footage not the best ... difficult with all of the lights behind the speakers and presentation area.

Will try to get some footage up later Saturday. If you know of anyone who should be honored at next year's heroes recognition program, check out this link.

Unexpected fireworks ... July 2008

This has been the most viewed video on my YouTube page with more than 4,000 hits as of March 28, 2009.

I was working as city editor for The Daily Record at the time, and I decided to go to West Salem, Ohio, with reporter Christy Johnson to shoot some video. She was going to report on a fire in some storage trailers at Phantom Fireworks. See Christy's story here.

This started it all

This video started it all for me on YouTube. I visited my friend Leland Pennington, who has helped guide and shape me as a magician, and I shot the video on my Kodak digital camera. It takes still photographs and records video in the .mov format.

Leland has been amazing people and audiences with his metal bending routines. I hope you enjoy this. I edited the footage with iMovie.

Welcome to the Wooster Video blog

Hello and welcome to the Wooster Video blog.

My name is Bobby Warren, and I am a journalist with The Daily Record newspaper in Wooster, Ohio. During the day I write, but in my spare time I enjoy capturing events in and around Wooster and Wayne County.

I will begin posting classic videos from my YouTube page here. It will include many of the Wooster bicentennial events, Freedlander's closing, the Budweiser Clydesdales coming to the Wayne County Fair among other items.

I hope you enjoy the videos.
